Coincidentally, there’s an Austin meetup tomorrow,

But it’s at a bar.

And I can’t get into bars yet.

Lame.

So who’s in Austin and wants to do this?  

She was in Denver about an hour ago, and on her way here! 

Sorry for all the spam about this, but I don’t care if I lose followers with this. :] 

A frantic wave from both of us as she hurried off… I’m a bit jealous of the adventure she gets to have, getting on planes and travelling to different places before landing at her new home.

I did it almost 3 years ago now, coming back to my first home and true home. And now I’m excited for us to build something, together. 

I’m going to try to keep myself calm now and nap for a few hours before I need to get ready, hop on a bus and go pick her up!

I will have the love of my life here with me in beautiful Austin, TX. 

It’s crazy to me that we’ll have been talking and together for a year now. In some ways it’s still like we’re fresh and new to each other, but also like we’ve always known each other forever. 

We think the same way, we fit together and care deeply about each other and want to make each other happy. 

We’re both a little crazy, and I couldn’t be more excited for the adventure we’re about to undertake. 

So all y’all better be prepared for this action right here! :D

when you run into someone in person randomly, and you’re positive that you’ve seen them on the internet somewhere. 

But where?!?

It just works. 

Granted, I also took a set of medium electric strings, and moved each gauge of string up to the next string. So I put the E as the A, the A as the D, and so forth. And I found a really heavy (.56) E string for the E. So I basically made my own set of ultra heavy strings, and on the acoustic with the steel pick, it just rings out. Each note is clear and sharp.

I’m also using an O Port, which I got for free thanks to my time at GC Austin. The people who make it are based out of Austin, and I have to give them a shout out for this thing. It retails for $30, and is THE easiest way to make your acoustic sound better with no other modifications. It really adds a lot of bass, and tightens all of the frequency ranges. Clearer highs, tighter mids and bass, and more defined too. And louder! 

So yeah, three cheers for unconventional!

and for that, I am sorry, dear followers. 

But this begs the question, how many of you actually appreciate my postings and my ways?

but the places in Austin have either closed or are “temporarily moving” ugh. 

At least when the F1 track is done I’m sure they’ll have go karting there, but still. I wanna go now! :P
